Yea, a gauge would be a good idea. Not sure how best to run it with a mechanical pump though. Have been off island in the UK for 3 weeks so will take a look at the old filter this weekend and put in a new one regardless. If there is a supply problem the effect is as if it is running lean which can definitely cause problems so want to avoid that.

sound like you need to put a fuel psi. gauge inside the car and see if the psi drops and then you can really see whats going on

Car is working well. New clutch is definitely an improvement. Now I have a fuel delivery problem which might be as simple as the filter. In Jan the car ran 11.97 at 117 with no fuel problems. Then a couple of weeks later, it started having fuel problems and it turned out to be the carb floats needed adjusting. Typical settling in stuff. Then the clutch went south and the car sat for 3 months. Redbull's father said on his Camaro that after only one month if it sat the fuel filter mesh inside would corrode up and restrict it. After I change it I will cut the old one open and see what it looks like (hopefully a corroded mess or I have other problems). I though the elements were paper but apparently not. Same almost new Carter mechanical pump it had in Jan. Fuel pump pushrod off the cam is new.

I did fill the tank for Saturday in case it was a fuel level problem but the problem still occurred so I ran 1/8th mile as the car worked until after the 1/8th. We'll see.
