Obviously, a mere 400hp won't be enough. Not with cars such as the BMW M3 (420hp), Lexus IS-F (400+hp), Nissan GT-R (450ish hp), and Mercedes C63 AMG (who-knows-how-many hp). Or so GM's engineers think. So, they went back to the drawing boards and returned with this: the LS3.

Its a 430+hp successor to the LS2. Look for this engine to be mounted in everything from the new 2008 Corvette, to the new 2008 Camaro, CTS-V, and more. Don't be surprised if an SUV or two gets some LS3 love either: the LS2 found its way into Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet SSR, and even the Trailblazer SS. So expect this engine will be making its rounds as well...
