As our own StX_RdRunr <a href="http://www.streetseen.vi/forums/showthread.php?t=818">points out</a>, the <a href="http://www.cdravi.com">CDRA website</a> has been updated:

"The CDRA Is Back..On Friday night, May 9th at the St. Croix Motor Sports Complex, there will be match races going on. Many obstacles have come in the way of the drag racing sport and we are only trying to bring the sport back up with a full swing. Lets' pray and hope that the rain holds up as much as possible. Bring out the family and support the Caribbean Drag Racing Association."

No word on whether racing will be to the 1/8th or 1/4, but hopefully the weather holds up!

Not sure about the entrance fee, but I just spoke with a friend and he said that it is points and match races. Gates open at 1700.

I would guess to the 1/8th for the points races at least. They need to do some work to the left lane at the big end, at least that is what I haave been told.

Had a race last nite an it was cancel because gate was lock... THANX TO BATES.. LOL..

we need to boycott this thing , they killed the wed. night mania and the excuse is leave it for friday so that they can make money at the gate for what ever reason cause they aint never fixing the god damn track, all they care about is money and not the love for the sport, they killing the sport and they dont even know it, like i said if there's a match race during the week now the excuse is leave it for race day, so they can make money off of us, without the racers and they're cars the cdra aint shit, all this money they collecting and can't see no f****ng improvement, all this running to the 1/8 bulls***, if i ever get a car to race again, i rather gather a group of people and tek a trip of island to race.

Yeh it was really stupid of him to do that.... There is no insentive for the ppl to race they car.... No throphy's/ money after an event... Track dont wanna put up no money up front for racers... When the racers win... They don't have no good promotion at all.. I can go on but it wont help.... lol.. Its a waste of time... To race down here..... He promote ppl car to bring in the crowd/money for his pocket.... I WILL NOT be racing my rx7 when it come back out its a waste of time.... CAR SHOW ONLY an for my driven around town/ENJOYMENT.. ...lol.. I'll be racing my cressupra from now on... Will build another rx7 latr on depends on how the track is .... Meaning how its organize.... (Really bad management) An as for that 1/8 mile thing my car wasnt build for 1/8 mile so thats another reason I will not race my rx7.... I think that 1/8 mile thing is bullshit... How the hell you gonna know what time your car do...

what exactly happened? you guys asked him to be able to use the track for a match race during the week..?

Yes race was setup for mid week ... he wasn't makeing money mid-week so he didnt open track.... (he said so) not in so much words.... he told them guyz to come back on friday when there is an event going on... lol. which is stupid... plus one of the cars had a match race with bates last race day but it got rain out..... So I guess he wanted to race the bug b4 it break down... lol.... I really feel like not going but 1 of my friends car from FLA. an he wants to go there.. SUX..lol..

So is it just because they had track this Friday that they didnt want races two days earlier? or do you know if they just wont be allowing match races outside of track night anymore/at all?

Well not sure it could be because it have track 2nite... But still,it would give ppl move insentive to come track 2day.... A lot of ppl say they wasnt going tonite to the track..

lets put it this way, no more races during the week cause they are not meking profit from it, so if u want to race u must come on race day, which now means we back on the streets again.
