Now for Honda, we have ToV's annual prodictions for next year.

To summarize, MY07 was a busy year with the CR-V, Civic SI, and Fit all entering into the lineup. Next year won't be as major-with only one all new vehicle and one mid life upgrade- but that vehicle is an important one....

In summary:

Accord: With the coupe already having been shown in concept form at the Detroit Auto Show, they look the new car to come in September. The sedan is expected to look similar, but less sporty than the coupe. Power is expected to come from two new engines: a 2.4L advanced vtec 4cyl engine giving about 200hp and possibly a larger 3.5L V6, with horsepower expected to come in the 280hp range.

CR-V: As they predicted the new CR-V has been a huge hit for Honda. Having just been introduced, they aren't looking for any significant changes.

Element: After receiving its mid-cycle upgrade, they're not expecting much on this car either.

FCX: Honda will begin selling this fuel-cell powered car next year, being the only manufacturer to do so....

Fit- Another success for Honda, with supply limiting sales. Over in Japan however, a new fit is due very soon. Allegedly, that car will come over to the US in August of 08, although that is unconfirmed. There were rumors that the Fit would be produced at Honda's new plant in Indiana, USA (lowering import costs to us here in the VI) but Honda is saying the Civic will be built there first.

Pilot - 2008 should be the final year for the current style, and little is known about its replacement. Rumored arrival for the new pilot is May of 2008 however.

Ridgeline - Believe it or not, we're going on the third model year for the Ridgeline. ToV expects little new until the mid model make-over in 2009, at which point ToV expects a diesel V6 version of the truck as well as an incremental upgrade to the gas powered model.

S2000- Beyond the S2000 Club Racer (which StreetSeen covered here), nothing new is expected. They don't even look for a new sports car until 2009, at the earliest...
