Apparently Sony and Nissan figured there wasn't enough anticipation behind the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.

We've just gotten word that Sony has joined forces with Nissan as well as other manufacturers for the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Starting October 24th, Playstation 3 owners will be able to download a fully playable demo of the new Gran Turismo 5 Prologue featuring the final, production-trim Nissan GT-R, in all its unmasked glory, modeled to every last detail and specification. yeh check k-mart or the video game rental place down west. i know for sure kmart used to have it but it was $770. might be less now...

i think so but to get the most out of it you should have a high-definition capable setup - screen + sound

the PS3 naturally does hidef / 1080p and games are played in HD too. they look great but you need the tv for it. where it becomes a good deal is because the ps3 also plays blu ray hi def movies and those players are really expensive now. so its a god deal if you were thinking about watching blu ray movies anyway.

as far as games go it still has a ways to go. there's formula1 and maybe a couple other offroad games but thats about it. GT will be coming soon.

anoter cool feature is if you have a high speed connection you can download demos for free.

also sony allows you to install another OS onto it.

im not sure what the multiplayer for GT will be like but many games do have online multiplayer.

i use my ps3 for movies and occasional games. because there's no other way to do blu ray that well.. and it plays older playstation games.. i like it.

hardware wise, its a masterpiece.
