I won't be there, still up in Babylon sea trialing Three Little Birds. Have not broken her yet and we certainly tested her on Friday, 36 knot gusts, steep big waves that we were sailing right through the back of and 18-20 knots of speed with a single reefed main and 105% jib. Water all over the decks and up through the nets. Saw 22.1 knots earlier with the spinnaker up in slightly smoother conditions.

Michelle said the Road Runner won't be making it up or down the road after all the rain anyway.

I saw ebbesen today down by the track and he told me there only runing to the 1/8, the reason is, there's water still runing at the end of the track and the mud on the track is about 2 to 3 inches after the 1/4, I saw it for myself and its a mess right after the 1/4.

I checked out the site this morning hoping to hear how it went.

Hope there is a better turnout tonight. 1/8 or 1/4, who cares, run your friggin car. If I wasn't up here sea trialing the trimaran (she is doing great) I would be down both nights.

There was a good number of people when I left at 1am. People just showed late. Not sure if it rained in some parts and that's what did it or what. From what I hear the track should have been swept but wasn't and vince was unhappy about that. But by midnight or so I thought there was a good number of people.

Ok honestly on the first race had it not been for rafies pressure plate going, he would have won. Im not getting into this for a argument im just stating what i saw. I had a different viewpoint of the race than everyone else. The second race i have no idea what went down with the hand douse as i was at the end of the track. All i know is when i got back down there there was a big heated argument. Being in my usual neutral role i had to pull the 2 owners aside and see if it could be resolved. Now from what i understood the hands dropped rafie went, jun rolled forward. now if this had been on the lights he could have rolled forward an inch and broke the beam. as far as im concerned that constitutes a chase. all the talk about how many times jun left and rafie stayed on the line is pointless. if your car doesnt move its not a race. thats just a part of hand douse racing. now i cant say who was right or wrong because i honestly didnt see for myself. whether rafie should have insisted on his winnings, or just not run again was solely his decision. the last race i do know jun crossed the line first.
Now let me just say this. Rafie handled everything well and was a true sportsman throughout i have to respect that. thomas you know how me and you stand. theres no love lost between us and i have always given you alot of credit. the whole remark about how rafie will never see kurruption was uncalled for. but i know you get all hyped up and thats just how you are. the fact of the matter is that the forst race you got lucky. the second race??????? that was between you two. but the last race it was obvious rafies car wasnt up to its full potential. so before you go off and say how he could never beat you, run him at his best and prove it. until then and even after lets try to keep it civil. rafie i hope you get everything sorted out soon because you know the whole island is anxiously awaiting this rematch. all in all there was a good turn out, and i was just glad to be back at the track. Just got word that the track will in fact be open tonight. I know this is really last minute, this among other things needs to be addressed. We have the track back so its about time we do something about organizing it.
