Lewis Hamilton back in 2006 in GP2 (before he got to F1) in Turkey

Think of GP2 like AAA to MLB. Only imagine MLB has just one team, imagine what AAA would be like. To get a seat in GP2 you've gotta be really good, and costs are over $2m/season. Do well in GP2 and you could get an F1 slot, depending on availability, relationships, whether the teams like you, the alignment of the stars etc. In this video there are more than a couple drivers who are now in F1 including Glock, Piquet, Petrov, di Grassi. In other words, some of the best drivers in the world are here. Unlike F1 though, in GP2 everyone has the same cars. You'd think that with such competition and such a level playing field, if you made a mistake, the race would be over ...especially since the race distance is so short... but, well... look at the video.

I don't think I've seen a better driver in the limited time I've been watching racing. Truly inspirational.

Seems more fun since all cars are equal..its left up to drivers and taking risks making or breaking there position..nice find like alot
