So this is how it started: About a month ago, a new member of a Ferrari forum called Ferrari Chat created a thread where he mentioned that Lamborghini was offering some of their best customers the opportunity to buy a secret new supercar. Obviously, since the poster was new to f-chat, a lot of the regulars dismissed it... but the poster's story seemed like more than just fantasy... <!--more-->
As you could imagine, the thread sparked discussion and debate all over Ferrari and Lamborghini forums about the possible existence of the car. Fast forwarding a couple weeks, a senior board member of a Lamborghini forum posted that (paraphrasing here) "if the car existed, it would cost ~$1.6 million, and they would have invited 21 owners from various parts of the world to view a scale model of the car and commit to place deposits." The poster added that IF the story were true, they would have had to sign non-disclosure agreements. Following that, the poster said he had to leave for a flight... With such specific information from a relatively reliable source, the story then became somewhat credible. Not too long after that, Lamborghini themselves confirmed they had a new supercar coming, stating that it was inspired from the USAF's F-22 fighter and would be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week. And that brings us to today. Although we don't have any specs yet, we do have have a name- <em>Reventon</em>- and these pictures, which just leaked....
