The good folks at Forbes.com have taken the time to highlight what they are calling the most coveted cars in the world. Their rationale seems to stem from above board market prices, demand and the typical low rates of production associated with exotics. That is a good business like approach and we should expect nothing less from a magazine with a charter dedicated to luxury and enterprise. I also agree that all these machines are coveted. I do wonder however, if the question could be posed this way. Which of these machines is most desirable to you. What do you think Street Fans:

Forbes #1. Aston Martin DBS Price (estimated): $265,000 Estimated wait time: 28 months. Forbes has this one at the top of their list. This is the one from James Bond- Casino Royale so it gets my respect, but number one? My number 11

Forbes #2. Morgan Aeromax Price: $188,000 (94,000 U.K. pounds) Estimated wait time: Two years, but now sold out completely.Hand built- Aero 8 roadster all 100 already sold out- that's all I know. My number 15

Forbes #3. Ferrari F430 Scuderia Price: $201,213 (2007 F430) Estimated wait time: Two years. This new, lightweight, track-oriented version of the super hot F430 is my first choice. She is loaded with a 510hp mid-mounted V-8. F1 technology on the road baby! (virtually no lag between shifts). I agree with Forbes when they say that "by the time Ferrari officially unveils the Scuderia at the Frankfurt motor show this month, it is almost certain that the entire, very limited model run will be sold out.

Forbes #4. Ferrari F599 GTB Fiorano Price: $264,034 (2007) Estimated wait time: Two years. One of Ferrari's regular production vehicles- whatever that means, the F599 is more exclusive than the standard F430, with just around 300 delivered to U.S. customers each year. The v12 definately steps up the stakes on this one. My number 6

Forbes #5. Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Price: $311,100 (2007) Estimated wait time: 18 months. Don't need to say much here. Most of us probably got our supercar indoctrination with either the Diablo or Countach. The Murciélago is the next generation. It ranks high for nostalgic value. My number 3

Forbes #6. Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG Price (estimated): $195,000 Estimated wait time: 18 months. Tekknikal, StreetSeen boss put me onto AMG back when we were in school. For those who don't know, AMG, the in-house "skunkworks" that turns out limited-edition, high-performance versions of the Mercedes-Benz line. The new CL65 AMG marks the 40th anniversary of the group. Only 40 of these Anniversary Edition C65s will be made worldwide, and only 20 will be allocated for the U.S. I respect them so this is my number 10.

Forbes #7. Bentley Brooklands Coupe Price: $340,000 Estimated wait time: 18 months. Claimed to be "the world's most exclusive coupe," the Brooklands is the next big car for Bentley. For some reason Bentley just gets lots of love. My number 13

Forbes #8. Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead (convertible) Coupe Price: $407,000 Estimated wait time: 15 months. The hip hop set also seem to dig these, at least in their songs. My number 12

Forbes #9. Koenigsegg CCX Price: $550,000 Estimated wait time: More than a year. The CCX from Swedish maker Koenigsegg is capable of more than 245 mph. Only 12 CCXs expected in the U.S. over the next year and eventually as many as 20 annually. I can feel this machine. My number 4

Forbes #10. Tesla Roadster List price: $98,000 Estimated wait time: One year. Dunno much about this Roadster enjoys favor with the dot-com crowd, along with many in Hollywood's eco-elite. My number 14

Forbes #11. Audi R8 Price: $109,000 Estimated wait time: One year.Definitely my kind of machine. The R8, is related to the Lamborghini Gallardo (Audi AG owns Lamborghini), yet it's a little more refined and comfortable.Only 300 R8s will be delivered over the first year. My number 5

Forbes #12. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Price: $1.4 million Estimated wait time: 10 months. We here at StreetSeen.vi love this car and have covered it since the inception of the site. See here (StreetSeen Veyron coverage)The Veyron has the highest price tag of any exotic car, but that also puts it out of reach for all but the richest collectors so the wait for one of these isn't as long as some of the others. Every Veyron is built only to customer order, with a confirmed deposit of $417,000 (300,000 euros). My number 2

Forbes #13. Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Price: $220,300 Estimated wait time: Eight months to a year.Superleggera means "super light" in Italian).Weighing in at 154 pounds less than the standard Gallardo, and getting a 10-hp boost (to 530 hp), this special-edition model is true to its name. My number 7

Forbes #14. Bentley GTC Convertible Price: $189,990 Estimated wait time: Eight months. The new drop-top version of Bentley's Continental GT coupe has been one of this year's hottest cars. My number 12

Forbes #15. Porsche 911 GT3 RS Price: $124,900 (2007) Estimated wait time: Unknown. My number 8 This got beat out by the Aero Rosadster-it's the wait time I guess. This stripped-down, lightened-up, high-performance version of the Porsche's legendary 911 will be produced in very limited numbers. BTW the 2007 sold out before production started so the same is predicted for 08.

So there are my inputs massive, what are yours?

That ferrari is tooooooo sick   it will get its own moment on StreetSeen.

As much as I've hated Porsches in the past, the GT3RS is too much of a driving car for me to ignore. It's too focused. I don't care how it looks. All I want to do is drive it to its limit

The Audi R8 is a pretty nice car too, its a closecall between it and the GT3RS, the lightweight focused nature of the GT3RS, combined with the aftermarket backing allowed the P-car to win out (i mean it has a CAGE from the factory) but over time I don't doubt the R8 will prove itself. This one was close.

Regarding the others, I love Astons, theyre too sick, but they're also GTish. It ranks high regardless. It's too baller. The other Ferrari is nice too... I'd rather the previous cars over the veyron because although the veyron is sick, I dont know if it would deliver the same real satisfaction that a race modified f430 or caged 911GT3RS might (for example). Beyond that, I'm not much of a lambo man but would take them over a Benz.. the Benz is a fine car but i'd much rather the entertainment of the others higher on the list. The CCX has yet to be proven in my book and the others... not big fans of....
