There was a time in Hip Hop when Rappers had to front, that is straight up lie about how successful they really were. <!--more-->Tribe called Quest did an interview once where they told the interviewer that even after they were on the tele they were sleeping on their mommas' couch. Incredibly, there story was the norm rather than the exception. Well, finally there seems to be some real data to lend credibility to the monetary success of Rap artists. In specific, Forbes magazine recently did a piece on the top Hip Hop earners for 06. The numbers were not Microsoftish or Googleish but definitely respectable. As expected, the names we know the most earned the most. Additionally,in that Spirit, Forbes took the opportunity to verify the rides. Check it out Street Fans:

The Impala Super Sport 396 was Chevy's high-performance version of one of its best-selling automobiles. The V8 big-block engines of the 1960s have made them restoration favorites among collectors.

Only 100 McLaren F1s were ever built, and only 72 of them were street legal. Its 6.1-liter V12 engine gets the F1 from zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds with a recorded top speed of 242 miles per hour.

This popular Chevy was made for 14 years. In 1970, the company removed its restrictions on fuel displacement; thus, the '70 Chevelle is widely considered to define the height of the muscle-car era.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (est. $1.4 million)
The Veyron's 16-cylinder engine takes the car from zero to 60 in 2.46 seconds and can reach a top speed of 253 miles per hour. At full throttle, the Veyron would burn through a tank of gas in 12 and a half minutes.

Busta Rhymes: Squad Up! Its the big bad Bus a Bus. Its worth mentioning that 50 Cent put one of these up for auction recently.

This Lamborghini can do zero to 60 in less than four seconds.

Named after the founder of the Italian sports car line, the Ferrari Enzo was built for speed. It does zero to 60 in 3.14 seconds and its V-12 engine can crack 200 miles per hour. Fewer than 400 were made.
