well as you guys know im working on geting the supra a little presentable on the streets of florida! (dat aint easy) any who there was one thing i needed to fixed that was really getting under my skin was the power steering high pressure line was busted.so i decided to make a high pressure line than get a factory one that will bust again. the line i made was 4 layer steal lining walls with two 90 degree ends on it! also had to get 2 -8 jic-16mmx1.5 fittings for the pump and rack n pinion. i'll start with pics of taking the factory ct26a off. see pics below!

Nice.........u finally on de move...lol. your supra is newer than mines.....the rack is not the same, u have progressive power steering, the mule don't have that. Your have an electric soleniod near the lines. That turbo will do some damage on the streets of tampa! The renty won't stand a chance...lol!

it funny you mentioned the solenoid because i found a plug that i didn't noticed when i swapped the motor! i have a couple unused plugs in the harness, hopefully one of them isfor the rack!

so what does this solenoid do mr Edwards:dunno:

It's for progressive power steering. The faster your p/s pump spins the less steering assist you get...for a better feel of the road. The slower your pump spins..ex..parking, the more p/s assist you get.....so you can park using your pinky finger to steer. 86-88 supras didn't come with this feature, instead they used a shock on the rack like they use on motorcycles. I'm not sure if the 89's came with progressive steering. I took the shock off my car because of the intercooler pipes.

Well I ain't gon lie! Even here when a supra goes under construction it seem they do take a while to pick back up. But these cars are not as simple as working on a Honda not even close.... but hey I can only speak for myself! When I get home from the gym 2night I will post up some pics. nah the welder is good! i had a gay ass old school mask that you couldn'd see the sun if it was in front of you, plus it was on the lowest setting because it keep melting my pipe:rofl::rofl: but yeah it was mostly me!

now since i had all that practice welding and i have the auto darkening mask now...it comes out smooth as hell now! i want to get some argon gas it welds soooo much cleaner:)

so this is when i got the car all put together and it was running sooooo strong. 10psi from a ct26 and 10psi from an hx40 is like night and day. OMG that car pulls and spools so fast, i sware i'm not changing my turbo ever. like they say, don't fix it if it ain't broken.
