It's weighing in at $22,995. That does not include destination, tax, title, etc of course. So, expect pricing to be close to $30k island-side. Compared with its competitors, the Civic SI sedan costs $21,290, the Nissan Sentra SE-R costs $19,900 in Spec-V trim, and the Mazdaspeed 3 costs $22,935. Basically then, it's the most expensive in its segment, barely edging out the Mazda. In terms of performance, the new SRT4 lacks the LSD that the outgoing Neon SRT4 had (as reported before)... and while this new SRT delivers a more power (285hp under the new standard) it also delivers more weight, meaning its probably a little slower than the last model- even if its projected 0-60mph time of low 6s turns out to be conservative. Compared with the run of the mill caliber, the SRT4 model also offers a lower performance tuned suspension, 19" wheels, and larger ventillated brakes with twin piston aluminum front calipers. Will it be worth the price? Maybe for some, although the proposition doesn't appear as attractive as it did with the Neon...
