To celebrate 40 years of building rotary engines, Mazda brings us this40th anniversary limited edition RX8.

Before you read any further, No,* it's not boosted. But here's what they've done with it... <!--more-->

On the outside, the car comes in marble white with 18" dark silver chrome alloy wheels and fog lights w/ blue projectors. Inside, they've redone the interior in an exclusive black leather with light silver alcantara (think: suede) seat covers and door trim.

In terms of performance, the engine has been balanced and blueprinted. they've upgraded the stock shocks to bilstein, and they filled the front suspension cross member with urethane foam to better control vibration and improve steering feedback.

Overall the performance specs remain mostly unchanged, which is a pity as it would have been a good opportunity to provide us with at least a little more performance. But at least they've worked to improve the driving experience, which is already one of the car's strong points. Unfortunately though, they're only building 200 of them, none of which appear bound for the USA...

nice car but no zoom....zoom for me....:sad:
