The caliberforums have come across the official info on the new SRT4, confirming what MotorTrend had been reporting earlier: the new SRT4 will produce 280hp and 260lb-ft via a 2.4L dual VVT 4cylinder engine. They've also come across performance numbers, with the new SRT4 being rated at 6.2 seconds for 0-60mph, and covering the quarter mile in 14.6 seconds. The top speed is listed at 157mph. The car will receive an upgraded interior and will be available in silver, orange, red and black. Pricing has not yet been disclosed but looking at the performance numbers and specs (lack of LSD for example), one can't help but wonder if this isn't a step <em>backwards</em>...
