Scion, Toyota's new division oriented at younger buyers, recently announced pricing on its new xA replacement, the xD.<!--more-->
The new xD will start at $14,550 for a base manual transmission model and will go up to $15,350 for an automatic, marking roughly a $1,800 increase from the xA.

The xD features a number of improvements including a 1.8L 4cyl engine producing 128hp and 125lbft (up from a 1.5L 4cyl producing 103hp/101lbft).
Size-wise the car is slightly larger, with a 3.6" extension in wheel base. In terms of economy, the new car is slightly less gas-efficient, getting 26/32mpg for the manual (down from 27/35mpg).
