Hello 2 all of you car freaks!

I got invited to join and finally I decided to do it. As the title says I am a Suzuki Freak! I own a couple Swifts that probably some of you have seen around St. Croix. One is a 1991 Swift GTi and the other one is a 1993 Swift GT. They are fun little cars with a bit of kick that get awesome gas mileage (33 MPG).

I am from Puerto Rico, so gasoline is in my blood. I am more into road racing than drag racing. Handling, braking, and vehicle dynamics are more important for me. I was a mechanic for 10 years and was part of an autoracing team in Puerto Rico.

I respect all makes and all engines. It would be boring without variety.

Thanks for the welcome...I guess that driving around I stand out for driving the oddball cars... Here is a picture... There are a few more in my album...'91 (known as Mk2 generation) is the white one and the other is the '93 (known as Mk3 generation)...I don't have spares but know very well where to get everything (stock parts and lotsa of hi performance goodies) from Puerto Rico, USA, Canada, Malasya, Japan, and Australia...Yes, even Australia!

It can be made to house a rwd set up but why would you want to tdo that. just take the diff from a firefly and bam your set..

Interesting conversation..But if both cars are in such nice condition..Why would I want to change to RWD?...I would probably do that with a car in fairly bad shape with a dead engine...In England there are a few Swifts converted to RWD using a BMW transmission...etc..but with the orginal 1.3 liter engine with a turbocharger...A rotary engine, because of its size, should not be that difficult... I'll stick with FWD with those two...
