The new Challenger will be unveiled in 2008 as a 2008 model year car and will feature an optional 5.7L V8 as well as a 6.1L V8 HEMI engine. Think 400+ horsepower on the higher end trim. Although pricing has not yet been disclosed, our guessing puts it in the $30k range and above, particularly for the higher end model.

The car will be going toe to toe with the new Camaro, also due sometime over the next year, and will be Dodge's contribution to the latest horsepower war against the likes of the IS-F, M3, GT-R, Corvette, etc. What a time to be an enthusiast...
