:dunno: what laws of physics you are referring to. I just couldnt get up with my connection at NASA so i had to improvise. To be a homemade manifold from 2 guys who have never made any kind of manifold before i thought it turned out pretty well. This just happened to be one of those instances that an off the shelf manifold just wouldnt fit. Trust me i would much rather spend a grand on a manifold than do it again but that just wasnt possible with this particular application. Remember rotaries actually run BIG turbo's.

Nah......I'm not referring to equal length runners.

I have seem the same thing also "so call top of the line product" that does aint worth shit and inexpensive parts out performing them.

I think its not about a manifold only and there is many other factors involve....looks does not mean eveything...by the way the manifold looks good. Its just couple things about it that caught my eyes, nothing serious or it's probably just me not knowing.

Trying hard.. its the lil thing that adds up.. an Im trying to write down as much stuff as I could to remember.. lol..

MICKEY... Its kool like rebull said this is our 1st manifold.. an we know what we could of done better.. trust me we have took apart an reweld many times before we got to this.. many many many test fit.. an angles.. an this was our final product.. when you see the setup close up you will see there is NOOOOOOOO ROOM to work with.. AT ALL... So we are very limited on what we can do....

But all in all it should work the way I want to .. Also thats why I went with the size runners I did.. so the FLOW wont be restricted...

Ok this is just an example of an off the shelf manifold for a FD. 90% of the manifolds you see for rx7's are this same basic configuration. with the one we made we had to keep it tucked as close to the bellhousing to keep wastegate pipes and the 60mm wastegate out of the way of the downpipe. everything was done the way it was because of serious space constraints. you have to keep in mind that all the pipes on the manifold are 2.25" and the downpipe is big, not to mention a tial 60mm is a huge wastegate. to fit it all on a FD is tight.

Keeping with the subject of rotary manifolds here are a couple shots of my manifold. This manifold was made by A-spec, which makes arguably some of the nicest manifolds you can get. They specialize in rotary applications but make manifolds and turbo kits for all kinds of different engines. Now you will notice that my manifold isnt your normal rotary manifold how it positions the turbo in front of the motor and the wastegate pipes actually go forward as well. But if you notice the wastegate pipes come straight off the runners and go forward. Its basically the same setup as the one we built just in reverse. I will never have the time, patience, and resources to build a manifold as well as companies like A-spec. But hey we do the best we can with what we have.

It is all well and good to build fast cars but we need some place in which to run these machines. does anybody know when the next race will be taking place. Lil update..... I had ignition issue today.. wasnt trying to start the car just checking everything before I start it up.. Everything is a go except for ignition..Got It Fix... W-temp...A-temp..TPS.. RPM.. MAP.. Injector duty.. all A-OK .. lol..

Under hood 98% done... Now I have to wire up fuel pump.. I can run haltech wire direct to pumps which it has a relay but dont know what to do yet.. <<< I kno hurry an get it done.. lol..

I feel your pain boss..... Fuckin rx7's LMAO! I got a starter for you though, no worries. You seriously cant own one of these cars without having good friends. To deal with one by yourself will make you lose hair. But on the bright side, mine has taught me alot about patience;)

You know that starting motor used to give me problems, you might want to check the wiring going to the solenoid because I had to manipulate the key to get it started. At one time I had to use a stick and tap on it to get it going.

I have always been too lazy to do mine. Mk3 supras have that starter problem too (mine did...lol) I ran a seperate relay.....problem solved!

well most turbo import made in the late 80's early 90's time did this! but i thought they only did it when the main starter wire gets hot and looses resistance. if its not that then i bet it's those contacts inside the starter!

No you can't .. But you can reach to a point where your comfortable with the car.. Although temp an Track condition varies... On my last pass in 4th gear car Almost got away.. Didn't panic .. Was comfortable enuff to bring it back ..

The rust is expected. Shit the other day I made a pass in vick93eg hatch and left like on the 2nd or 3rd light on the tree.LOL... Take your time and get used to your car. A few more t&t and you should be back in business.

Lol john force light he was trying to cut. All in he did great pass and drove the car well . Trust me more seat time is always good cause i did get better than previous time I can't wait to get back.

So I have reach my goal with my car ... "as a full street" .... The car sounds wonderful it ran hard a strong... 1st couple passes the tire pressure was @ 15 psi.. I Was getting 1.8 60'.. Lower pressure to 12psi.. Then started getting 1.6 60'.. "note" ..<< that was with "NO Burnouts" I did 2 dry hop an come to the line ... This car is trapping 5mph more than my other car @ same boost level on "Pump Gas".. So I know the turbo is working on the topend...

This car came a very long way "As you can see in my build thread" an I'm very impress with the result this far ... The cars sounds quiet like a baby an roars like a LION an runs like a cheetah .. Lol.. The hard work an great tuning paid off very well... The car didn't faulted once.. The more I ran it the better it felt...

After next week event I will be going back to drawing board with the car making some changes .. An turning it up.. We will see what the future holds for this car .. :-)

Ok after making some pass last weekend .. I saw some changes I can make To improve the car .. I have no ignition Aka "MSD".. I need that. Lol. Running basically all stock ignition minus turbo2 primary coils.. .. Boost controller << I have none.. Higher boost level gauge . That to.. Lol..

I also need a alignment .. Front an back wheels..

I will improve Under the hood with Turbo Blanket.. Exhaust wrap.. Manifold will be wrap also to keep heat out....
