26 grand for a N/A motor and he was looking for 600whp what a fracking moron. this is 28,000 he could have spent 2000 more and had this. built by one of the best builders on earth. http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/pricesheets/lsx/dailydriver/tt/dds_402lsx_tt.pdf

This is true but he can always use force induction with his forged high compression piston enigne and probably be there anyways its up to him to chose either turbo or blower application. The people that built his motor are very good builders its the tune that needed the help.

just for spite i have to put this one. not cheap by any meens but c'mon 1500hp on pump gas. 2500 on race fuel. now i love a 2jz. but this my friends is real power. and trust me you will spend 50g's trying to get 1500hp from a 2jz while this one does it on pump gas and can actually be driven. http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/pricesheets/lsx/racegas/tt/ws_454lsx_tt.pdf

They did help the tune ah lil... When he took it to the other dyno's he only got the HP up a lil more... Nothing to talk about... :) For 20G's in ah Vette motor it should make more than 600hp..
Even ah calaway twin turbo setup would make more power than that.. ;)

aren't these motors crate motors?
DomesticChiney
01-16-2009, 10:30 AM
From the looks of it yea..... but I'm hoping they might sell full drop in engines with the A/C works and all, kinda like what Shelby does..... Immma have to research.

i just read up on these engines and yes the are crate motors. a 2jz shouldn't even be compared to this motor. look at the displacement on those motors, look at the bore....man they better make lot of power with a turbo bolts to it. i bet it must be a blast to have one of those motor in a car, but its just something about the 2jzgte that i love.

What we can do is go half on the motor you take 4 pistons I take 4 pistons..  Then we well have some serious 4 banger on the streets.. lol.. Biggest bore 4 banger

a little late to the party, just had time to see this...
am i missing something though? <10% difference between the dynos. different dynos different days different times. this happens. in this test it would have been useful to dyno a stock car on all 3 dynos before making that kind of claim against a shop. also, when determining power goals, the type of dyno and methods of test MUST be considered. you cant just look at dynos as indicators of absolute power, even though everyone does it....

I agree with Tekk on that part now that he says it like that..... My Mustang Dynos at around 477rwhp on a "mustang dyno". Sometimes 460 sometime 470. On a Dynojet the numbers are higher, just not that much. Around 485rwhp to 490rwhp.

just watched it again. he should definitely take a stock z06 to both dynos. if it reads ~8% higher on the first dyno, then he can make no complaint against them.
