This year Nissan's Skyline celebrates its 50th anniversary- a feat achieved by very few cars on the market today.

To commemorate the Skyline turning 50 on April 24, Nissan held an exhibition in midtown Tokyo called Grand Touring - The Legend and the Future:

Note that most people falsely equate Skyline with GT-R. Although it is true that the GT-R is a high end variant of the Skyline- and is what popularized the Skyline in many locations including the USA, the Skyline itself has been around for many years as a practical driver's oriented car. Introduced in the United States market as the Infiniti G35 in 2002, the Skyline tradition continues through today, with the current generation being the V36 series.
